Swinburne University Postgraduate Research Awards (SUPRAs) with annual stipend



Swinburne University Postgraduate Research Awards (SUPRAs) are awarded to students of exceptional research potential undertaking doctoral studies. The awards are provided to assist with general living costs. Tuition fees are also covered by the award.
SUPRAs are allocated annually by Swinburne Research to specific research groups across the university.
SUPRAs are not available for application by prospective or current students in a Swinburne Research scholarship round.
Research groups that have been allocated SUPRAs may advertise opportunities on the Swinburne University Jobs Webpage, when available.
Prospective students who seek more information about SUPRAs are advised to speak directly with their proposed supervisor about potential SUPRA opportunities within the faculty or Research Centre.

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Professional Doctorate

Eligibility / selection criteria

  • Students must meet candidature requirements as set out in their proposed program. Please refer to the website for details.

Value

  • Annual stipend $27,596 (indexed) (2019 rate) for three years (with possible 6 month extension)
  • Tuition fees for up to four years
  • Thesis allowance
